Portland’s Cathedral Park Jazz Festival will return to St. Johns on Friday, July 14, Saturday, July 15 and Sunday, July 16.
Friday is dedicated to the Blues and Saturday and Sunday will be a mix of jazz, soul and Latin music.
The festival is said to have been started by locals who wished to commemorate the construction of Cathedral Park on the Willamette River.
The Jazz Festival is both the longest running free annual jazz festival west of the Mississippi and Portland’s longest running annual community event.
It is organized by the Jazz Society of Oregon, a non-profit organization whose mission includes fostering a greater appreciation of jazz, while promoting diversity and inclusion.
