The city recently unveiled the final design for the State-of-the-Art North Portland Aquatic Center. The design is based on community feedback. According to Portland Parks, construction is anticipated to begin in 2027.
The North Portland Aquatic Center project involved a “robust community engagement process” featuring at least four Project Advisory Committee (PAC) meetings (Nov 2022–April 2023), community workshops, and a final design presentation in Feb 2026, to select the site and finalize designs for the $91-$102 million facility.
Parks will be hosting a public Zoom meeting on April 13, 7-8 pm to discuss the project’s conditional use. You can join the meeting here.
