Held annually on the Friday before Thanksgiving, the Community Tree Lighting & Makers Market will be on Friday, November 21, 6 to 8 pm in the St. Johns Plaza at N. Lombard and N. Philadelphia.
The event is hosted by the St. Johns Boosters to kick off the holiday season. It features the Roosevelt High School choir and other live music, free hot chocolate and cookies, ornament decorating, specials from local small businesses and more.
Pro tips:
- Arrive a little early to secure a good spot for viewing the tree lighting ceremony and enjoy the festive atmosphere.
- Bring a reusable mug if you plan to enjoy hot beverages, as some vendors may offer discounts for bringing your own.
- Check the St. Johns Boosters Instagram page for any last-minute updates or special announcements regarding the event.
- Explore the local small businesses near the Plaza before or after the event to support the community.
- Dress in layers, as November evenings in Portland can be cool, ensuring you stay comfortable throughout the event.
