Guss Mobile Sauna is Portland’s sauna by the river. A wood-fired nature ritual that invites you to warm up, and then cool off in the river, and repeat. Each session blends wood-fired heat, cold, and community, so bring a friend or come solo and meet people who love life outdoors.
Guss is rooted in three values: connection to nature, embracing play, and genuine socializing. Guss shows up in every season, rain, cold, or sunshine, and you’ll find a warm space waiting after each river dip. It’s simple, it’s fun, and it’s deeply Portland. Move together, sweat together, and share real time with your people.
A goal of Guss is to activate Portland’s riverfront park space. Permitted with Parks and Recreation, Guss operates from the fall through the winter in riverfront parks that get less use during the colder months. Guss also donates a percentage of revenue to Human Access Project to continue supporting Portland’s river culture.
Guss Sauna’s first outing at Cathedral Park in November 2025 sold out, and it will be returning January 11, 2026. The Cathedral Park sauna date can be booked at Guss Sauna at Cathedral Park! There will be 5 sessions throughout the day.
