Angelina Minor was sentenced to 10 years and six months in prison for manslaughter in the death her 4-year-old son, Kingston Coston, in a DUII head on collision at N Fessenden and N Mohawk St. in March, 2024.
The 2024 incident started when Minor’s car was involved in a non-injury accident with another driver at N Lombard and N Richmond in the St. Johns neighborhood. Minor did not stop to exchange information as legally required. The other driver followed Minor’s car as she fled. Once on N Fessenden, Minor crossed over the median island into oncoming traffic and continued driving against traffic until crashing into another vehicle.

At the time of the crash Minor was on probation for her second DUII in 2022.
Minor’s son Kingston was severely injured in the crash. Prosecutors said he was in a child safety seat that hadn’t been properly installed. Minor, her boyfriend and daughters were uninjured in the crash.
The Traffic Investigations Unit determined that extreme intoxication and speed were significant factors in the crash.
A warrant was issued for Minor’s arrest last week when an alcohol monitor had been triggered. Her defense attorney argued that the alert could be in error. Multnomah County Circuit Judge Jenna Plank said she believed Minor had maintained her sobriety for almost two years. But added that she could not delay incarceration any longer according to the Oregonian.
