Upcoming Willamette Cove Workshops

Help shape the nature park at Willamette Cove.

Please RSVP to join one of the upcoming workshops.

Metro would like to invite you to the first round of workshops about Willamette Cove in May.

You are also welcome to share with colleagues or community members who you think would be interested in attending.

The in-person workshop will be on May 4, 11 am to 1:30 pm at Cathedral Village Apartments. There will also be a virtual workshop on May 7, 6 to 8:30 pm for those who are unable to attend in person. The in-person and online workshops will focus on the same topics so there is no need to attend both. The details to join will be sent to participants who RSVP. Please fill out the RSVP form, so that we are aware of any individual needs.

This initial engagement will give participants an opportunity to influence the design of Metro’s future nature park at Willamette Cove. The workshop will walk community members through the history of Willamette Cove and where it stands now, prompt a discussion of values and intentions for the space, introduce the opportunities and the constraints for a nature park at Willamette Cove, and start developing ideas for the park design and features.

Metro will provide a meal for participants at the in-person event. There will be American Sign Language and Spanish interpretation for both the in-person and virtual gatherings.

If there are transportation, childcare, dietary or accessibility needs that participants have, please make that known when you RSVP; Metro will try to provide accommodations.
